Our Modern Day Battle of Tours

According to an article by the Associated Press carried in the International Herald Tribune, which is the International Publication of the New York Times, back in February of this year, Great Brittain is now making plans to adopt some form of Shariah law and set up separate Shariah courts to oversee them. You are probably asking yourself the question, "What is Shariah law?" Shariah law is Islamic law based in the Koran. They say that they are going to let Muslims go before Shariah courts while non-Muslims will go before traditional courts. They also, said that Shariah law will only have jurisdiction over divorce cases, domestic violence cases, and financial disputes.

So, what does this mean and what affect will it have? Well, for one it will affect the rights of women to be heard in an unbiased court. According to the Koran a man is entitled to twice as much as a woman in a divorce. Also, wife beating is legal under the Koran. If this is enacted, doctors will not be able to report possible abuse when it comes to Muslim women, because their rights are non-existent under Shariah law. Christianity is the only religion in the world where women are to be treated with dignity and respect (See Galatians 3:28 for reference) and where they have equal footing with men.
Another affect will be in law-enforcement. If you have two different and in many ways opposite legal systems, which one will take precedence? Which one will be enforced? If you enforce one, you will violate the other. Next, the Hindu's and Buddhist's will want their own legal code. And what's to stop it? You see, religious pluralism coupled with political correctness always will lead to legal pluralism and ultimate anarchy and chaos.

Those that have eyes to see and can read the hand writing on the wall know that our beloved Mother Land has embarked on an irreversible course. It is only a matter of time before they are speaking Arabic and are considered a full-fledged Muslim nation. And why? Because Islam is as much a political system as it is a religious system and has been since its inception. It is not satisfied with being one of many religions in a multi-cultural society. It wants to rule and dominate and will wage jihad in order to do so.

Because we have been indoctrinated with multi-culturalism and political correctness since the 60's, we are ignorant and oftentimes willfully of the facts. We need to open our eyes. If the Lord tarries His coming, we are facing a moment in history not unlike the Battle of Tours in 732 A.D. In that Battle Charles "the hammer" Martel turned back the Muslim advance into Europe in Southern France in what I believe to be a supernatural act of divine providence. We too, must turn back the tide. We must wage an idealogical war and educate people concerning the true nature of Islam and its prophets. We must turn back the tide for the sake of the Gospel. America is normally only 10-15 years behind England. For the sake of our children and our way of life, we must get involved in this culture war that's raging. Our very freedom is on the line!

I agree! It's time for Christians to step up and turn this thing around before it's too late.

God's Word warns us that "a nation divided against itself cannot stand" (Mark 3:24). It is the epitome of arrogance for a country to think they can slice themselves into pieces by providing different laws for each people group and still be able to retain any form of continuity and identity as a single nation. The nation that does this WILL ULTIMATELY FALL!

It is time for Christians to arouse from their sleep, seek God's face (His will and His way), and stand up and fight for what is right.

When we find ourselves in the heat of the battle, we must make sure that all accusations of bigotry are false (Any time Christians take a stand, "bigot" is the first word from the mouths of liberals.)

Jesus Christ said that we are blessed when others speak evil against us FALSELY (Matthew 5:11). The Apostle Peter reminds us that nothing is accomplished if we suffer because we sin, but that it is a gracious thing in God's sight when we endure suffering for doing good (1Peter 2:20). Again, he tells us that if it's God's will, it is better to suffer for doing good than for doing evil (1Peter 3:17).

In essence, we cannot depend on our own strength, logic, and/or the power of our words. We must, instead, stay prayed-up, confessed-up, and trained as a good soldier in the Lord's army, always dependent on Him and the power of His might.

Absolutely, we must fight the good fight of faith and earnestly contend for the faith, now. Before they are carting us off to jail and beheading us.

The culture tells us christians to be tolerant...and for many years we have been!
We are tolerant when it comes to divorce, no one thinks any thing about a christian divorcing.
We are tolerant about drinking, if christians stopped drinking we would close much of our bars, and liquior stores. In years gone by Billy Sundays revivals would cause the selling of alcholol to stop completely. Why is that which is preached in the church not Practiced in the streets?
We are tolerant when it comes to apathy, we got churches closing doors on sunday nights and wed nights for the sake that it is to hard to go to church. We have churches willing to shamefuly sell tickets to watch the Super Bowl in the sanctuary, then complain and sue when the NFL says that it is wrong. Should we not be ashamed when the world corrects the church? We go to church and no one gets saved, no one gets baptised, no one gets there marriage right, no one repents, no one turns to God, and we say boy we had church today! We tell the preacher "nice message", but how would they know they were sleeping through most of it!
We are tolerant when it comes to the man of God. We no longer hold the man of God up to the standerds of his calling found in Titus. We are willing to over look his divorce and remarriage. We are willing to overlook his adultery. We are willing to overlook his lack of conviction as long as he has a degree. We seek pupets in the pulpit rather than a prophet! As long as the preacher does not speak of sin hell and the grave we think he is a wonderful man of God.
We do the same thing for deacons! We have deacons who have never been called to that position, they are there because they had to fill a slot, or because they were a deacon at the last church! We never hold them up to the qualifications found in Titus and I Tim.
We have been brain washed by the world, that when the world says something that is contradictory to the word we want to write it off, or make an excuse for it. Why is the word not our only source?
I think that we need to start being intolerant in the camp. We need to be intolerant when it comes to sin! As Jeff Laborg said we don't need to be advertising something in the window that we don't have in the warehouse. When we start being serious about sin in the church, then it will only cause us to be intolerant with the sins of this world. I think before we start pushing for prayer in the school house, we need to start pushing prayer in the church house! Before we start pushing christian values on a population, we need to start pushing evangilisim in our churchs! Two things will cause a church to have low attendince 1. have a prayer meeting 2.have a visitation. How come we expect the heathen to understand the need for prayer in schools? Why would we want to push christian values before we tell them about Jesus Christ?

I am not saying that we should not be concerned with what is happening in the world, I think we should. I am just saying before we become intolerant to the things of this world, we need to also be intolerant to the things that are going on in the church. The bride is spotted with the stains of this world, we need to be clean if there is ever hope in this world!

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2Ch 7:14)
