Let the Church be the Church!

"Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places." - Ephesians 6:10-12

Too, often we are satisfied in the church to never go beyond just a devotional type of praying. It is time for the Church to be the Church! Jesus said in Matthew 16, "Upon this rock [talking about himself], I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." I don't know if you realize it or not, but the church standing and praying in victory is the greatest governing force on earth.

  • We can move mountains. Matthew 21:21
  • We can subjugate principalities and powers. Matthew 12:29
  • We can pull down strongholds! 2 Corinthians 10:4
  • We can advance God's Kingdom! Matthew 6:9-13
  • We can have the nations as our inheritance! Psalm 2:1

Greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world!

  • The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is living in us!
  • All power has been given to Christ, and we are found in Him!
  • Christ is in us! Colossians 1:27

In the Garden of Eden God gave Adam dominion over the earth. He told him and Eve to be fruitful and multiply and have dominion over it. However, he gave that up, when he disobeyed God, committed the original sin, and all creation fell with him. Satan then became the god of this world. However, God is still God! The earth is still his, and throughout the Old Testament, when His people prayed, repented and called on Him, He intervened and sent revival! On the cross, Christ (the 2nd Adam) won back all that the first Adam had lost/given up. When we confess Christ as our Savior and Lord, He takes up residence in us, and we are found in Him. We are declared righteous, and victory is ours for the claiming!

TODAY, WE AREN'T FIGHTING FOR VICTORY! WE ARE STANDING IN IT!

We must fight the good fight of faith, and work the works of Him while it is day! Our time is short, friends! But as long as the Church is in the World, THE CHURCH MUST BE THE CHURCH! We must claim what is rightfully ours through Calvary and stand in that authority. We can see America turn around and back to God. We must call on Him and let Him show us great and mighty things, which we do not know!

The next 10 days on God's calendar (the Jewish Calendar) are called the Days of Awe. The ancient Jewish Rabbi's taught that during these days, the windows of Heaven are open and God is literally setting His agenda for nations for the next 12 months, depending on their repentance. These 10 days lead up to Yom Kippur/the Day of Atonement. I believe the Church needs to cry out to God in prayer like we never have! We need to pray for the soul of our nation, and against the principalities and powers that are taking us further down into a moral abyss. We need to call on Him, knowing that He will answer us and show us great and mighty things which we don't know. Matthew 17:21 says, "Howbeit, this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." WE NEED TO NOT ONLY PRAY, BUT FAST AND PRAY! Seek the Lord while he may be found! And trust God for great victories this year!

GOD BLESS YOU!!!

Bro. Nathan, I agree wholeheartedly! I get so frustrated at church members who are lackadaisical and complacent. There is a tremendous amount of work to be done in these last days, most of which can be done on our knees, and it seems that only a small portion of our brothers and sisters show any concern. And while they complain about the direction our nation and world are headed in, they don't seem to realize that God has given us the power to affect change, if we'll just take hold of the victory He has already given us through Jesus Christ.
I pray for REVIVAL! True, Repentant Revival!!

God bless you Brother!

I have been working on a series called "The Necessites of Personal Revival"... It is an exposition of the text of Neiamiah 1 and 2. In those first two chapters we find that Nehmiah comes from the average to the extrodanary. I think it is a great example of what is needed if we are ever to experiance personal revival. As you read those two chapters we find a few things, one of which is we find him praying and fasting. As I was reading the text again I saw something that I skimed over...the last verse of chapter 1 we find him asking for grace from his king. We also see him praying for several months before he confronted the king about his hearts desire.

Prayer is one of the main things that allowed Nehmiah to experiance revival!...If we are ever to see a revival in the church or in the home it will only happen when we have a personal revival in our hearts,...and that will not come until we get down on our knees and spend it in prayer.

Stand triumphant! Christ has already finished the work on the cross. Paul said to do all we could to stand. God bless you brothers!
